Biomechanics
Learning to move even better.
Who is this for?
As animals, movement matters for our physical health. We were not made to spend hours of our day sitting in a desk or a car. The most common types of pain in our country - low back, shoulder, neck, hips and knees - are caused by this. For some, regular clinical bodywork is enough. For some individuals who aren't finding complete relief from bodywork, then movement analysis may be the next step. For individuals who aren't having pain but want to enhance their performance, then movement analysis can help.

While each person may move in a unique way based on their body type, everyone can stand to improve through education and training. The goal of movement analysis is to identify patterns that are leading to pain and limiting performance outcomes.

The first step is to gather data on how a person is currently moving in their specific sport - walking, running, biking, and swimming. Once this baseline data is gathered then a plan can be developed. After enough time has passed the person can be reassessed to find out if their intervention plan is working.

How does it work?
-
In person or remote video recording of the specific movement(s) involved
-
Detailed breakdown all aspects of the movement(s) using AI technology
-
Muscle strength and balance testing to identify underlying weakness (in person only)
-
Customized strength training and drills to retrain movement patterns
-
Improved performance and reduced risk of injury
-
Available to athletes and non-athletes
